Name: Roronoa Zoro, Pirate Hunter Zoro

Roronoa Zoro, also known as 'Pirate Hunter Zoro', is a former bounty hunter and now a famous pirate in the anime, One Piece. He was the very first member that was recruited by Monkey D Luffy. Zoro is famous for his 3-sword-style techniques and his abilities as a master swordsmen. He is widely considered the most dangerous member of the Straw Hat crew after Luffy. He is considered one of the top three pirates in Luffy's crew alongside Luffy and Sanji. Zoro has a dream to take the title of 'world's greatest swordsmen' from Dracule Mihawk (Hawkeye) and will stop at nothing to achieve his dream.

Zoro is an average build man with a bit of muscle to work with. However, his most prominent feature is his moss-green hair (Sanji actually calls him Moss-head) and sheathed swords. His entire body is covered with scars and battle wounds, but the most notable is the large scar on his chest. This was inflicted by Hawkeye but was intentionally non-fatal. Another is the scars around his ankles. This was during the battle against Mr. 3 and his Giant Candle Service Set, where Zoro was trapped and decided to cut off his feet in order to free himself.  After the time skip, Zoro is seen with a new scar covering his left eye. Although it hasn't been revealed how this was inflicted, he always keeps that eye closed as a result. This doesn't seem to affect his immense combat ability in the least.

Zoro gains the ability to use Observation Haki after the timeskip and is seen using it on multiple occasions. He has a wide array of sword attacks and each only gets stronger as he trains his style of ' santoryu'. He often trains while the rest of the crew are resting, but does enjoy a drink from time to time. His strength is demonstrated greatly during the Fishman Island Arc as he defeats Hody Jones in one fell swoop. There are a number of times where Zoro is seen fighting, but each occasion he  defeats his opponents with relative ease.
